Columbus, OH : Lima man dies in Ohio crash on Saturday, 3rd November 2018

A Lima, Ohio, man died evening when his vehicle went off a state highway and struck a house trailer, the Ohio State Highway Patrol said today.

Harold R. Cheney, 64, was taken to Lima Memorial Hospital, where he later died from his injuries, the highway patrol at Lima said in a statement. One person was inside the trailer at the time of the crash, but was not injured, the statement said.

It said Cheney was driving east on Ohio 81, east of Napoleon Road in Allen County, Ohio, about 6 p.m. when his vehicle went off the south side of the road and struck the trailer.

He was not wearing a seat belt, the statement said. It said alcohol was not believed to be a factor in the crash, which remains under investigation.
