Anderson, SC : One person killed and three injured in crash between ambulance and semi truck on 28/29 Bypass in Anderson County on Friday, April 8, 2016

After an ambulance that was transporting a heart patient was involved in a collision, the patient went into cardiac arrest and died, according to the coroner.

Medshore confirmed that the Hart County ambulance crashed in Anderson County on the 28/29 Bypass.

The ambulance was transporting a heart patient from Hartwell to AnMed when the ambulance and an 18-wheeler collided, Anderson County Coroner Don McCown said.

The patient was taken to AnMed and pronounced dead.

Three other people were injured in the crash, McCown said. They were taken to AnMed for treatment.
