Fairfield County, CT: Lanes reopen on I-95 after crash on Wednesday, July 29th 2015

All lanes on southbound I-95 have reopened following a crash that happened before 7 a.m.But at 8:35 a.m. there were still long southbound delays of more than 9 miles from Fairfield to nearly the Moses Wheeler Bridge in Stratford.There were also southbound delays on the Route 8/25 because traffic had a hard time getting on I-95.Two lanes were shut down for more than two hours after an accident involving a box truck.The southbound accident near Exit 23, happened in an area that is always backed up this time of day - even without an accident.
