McMINNVILLE, TN : One person was killed and three others were injured in a crash in McMinnville on Thursday, December, 21st 2017

One person was killed and three others were injured in a crash on State Highway 1 in McMinnville Thursday afternoon.

According to the Tennessee Highway Patrol, a Nissan Pathfinder was traveling east on Hwy 1 around 2:45 p.m. when it cut across the median divider and struck a Chevy Cruze heading westbound. The Cruze then went down a large embankment.

The driver of the Cruze, 77-year-old John L. Winburn, died from his injuries.

Winburn's passenger, as well as the other driver and her passenger, were injured. Their conditions are unknown.

Police say criminal charges are pending.
