Melrose, FL : 32-year-old man killed in a crash after hitting tree in Putnam County early Saturday morning, August 6, 2016

Florida Highway Patrol says a 32-year-old man was killed early Saturday morning after a single car crash.

FHP say Davis Magruder was driving a 1999 Ford Explorer on County Road 315 when, for unknown reasons, he ran off the roadway and hit a tree near Horne Lane.

Magruder was dead on the scene.
