Menomonie, WI : Man died in Dunn County crash on Friday afternoon, December 23, 2016
One of four people injured in a three-vehicle crash on U.S. 12 near 429th Street in Dunn County Friday afternoon has died.
The Dunn County sheriff’s office reported Monday they had been informed on Saturday that Ronnie Imboden, 70, Knapp, had died from injuries suffered in the crash.
According to the sheriff’s office, a 2013 Kia Soul operated by Joesph Broker, 56, Colfax was eastbound on U.S. 12 when it collided with a westbound 2004 Chevrolet Venture van driven by Imboden. Both vehicles were then struck by a 2011 Chevrolet Colorado operated by Jennifer Thatcher, 43, Wilson.
Imboden was ejected from his van in the initial crash, and the truck came to rest on top of him
Imboden, Broker and Lori Broker, Colfax, a passenger in the Kia, were all taken to Mayo Clinic Health System in Eau Claire by ambulance. Thatcher was taken to the hospital in a private vehicle.
The conditions of Joseph Broker, Lori Broker and Thatcher are unknown at this time.
Road conditions due to the weather was a factor in the crash. The crash remains under investigation.
