Farmer City, IL : Ky. man killed in a single-vehicle accident on Interstate 74 in DeWitt County early Tuesday, June 14, 2016

A 45-year-old Kentucky man died early Tuesday in a single-vehicle accident on Interstate 74 near Farmer City, the DeWitt County coroner's office said.

Preliminary autopsy reports indicate Grant A. Bennett, 45, of Bowling Green died of multiple blunt injuries, Coroner Randall J. Rice said in a news release.

The accident occurred near mile marker 160, said Rice, whose office is investigating the accident with the Illinois State Police. The man was pronounced dead at 6:31 a.m., said Rice.

The state police declined to release any information on the accident.
