Newport News, VA : 18-year-old Newport News man dies after motorcycle accident on Thursday, December, 21st 2017

An 18-year-old man from Newport News was identified as the victim of Thursday night’s fatal motorcycle accident.Newport News Police said that Korrey Alexander Green, of the first block of Christian Street, died after being taken to a local hospital.

Green was traveling at a “high rate of speed,” according to police, when he attempted to avoid a car that was exiting a parking lot around the area of Jefferson and Newport avenues.

The motorcycle collided with the car, causing Green to be ejected. The motorcycle continued across the median into the southbound traffic lanes, and a third vehicle was damaged when it hit either the motorcycle of debris from the crash.

The police department’s crash team continues to investigate the accident.
