Lenoir County, NC :One person killed in crash in Lenoir County on Friday, July 10th 2015

The North Carolina Highway Patrol confirmed a person was killed in a vehicle crash Friday afternoon in Sandy Bottom.Troopers said they received a call about the accident around 1:30 p.m. The crash happened on N.C. 55 in front of the Sandy Bottom Volunteer Fire Department.Troopers could confirm one person had died, but not other details were given. NewsChannel 12 has put in a request to speak with the investigating trooper and will post more details on the crash as soon as they become available.
