Pharr, TX : Donna man dies after police chase on Saturday, December 27, 2014

A Donna man died and his passenger was seriously injured after he fled from police just after 1 a.m. Saturday morning.
Aaron Prado, 21, was pronounced dead on scene after he was partially ejected from his Lincoln Aviator that rammed into a concrete pillar near Jackson Road and Expressway 83 as he tried to elude police, according to a news release.
Prado fled from police after he was pulled over momentarily for a traffic stop. When police attempted to approach his SUV, he sped off and headed eastbound on Business 83, the release said.
An unidentified female, the only other passenger in the SUV with Prado, suffered serious injuries and was transported to a local hospital in critical but stable condition, police said.
Police have not released her identity, and are still determining why Prado ran from them.
