MILFORD TOWNSHIP, PA : 2 area teens killed in Route 663 crash in Milford Township, Bucks County, about 30 miles north of Philadelphia on Sunday, 3rd March 2019

A crash during Sunday evening’s snowstorm has left two local teenagers dead and a third hospitalized.

State police say the crash occurred at about 5:30 p.m. Sunday in Milford Township, Bucks County, about 30 miles north of Philadelphia.

The (Allentown) Morning Call reports that a Ford Ranger pickup driven by a 17-year-old skidded off Route 663 and hit a tree near Brinkman Road.

The Bucks County Coroner’s Office identified the victims as 18-year-old Michelle Goodwin of Pennsburg and 18-year-old Daniel Pierson of Red Hill.

Both were passengers in the Ford Ranger and were pronounced dead at the scene. Autopsies were scheduled for Tuesday.

WPVI-TV reported that the two victims worked at the Dairy Queen on Gravel Pike in Pennsburg, where a vigil was held for them Monday evening.

The station reported that both Goodwin and Pierson had finished work at the Dairy Queen in Pennsburg Sunday but left their cars parked at work and were picked up by the driver in the pickup truck.

The driver, believed to be a teenager from the Pottstown area, was taken to Lehigh Valley Hospital near Allentown. No information about the driver’s injuries was available.
