Duluth, MN : One dead, one injured in crash near Crosby on Saturday, January, 27th 2018

A Minneapolis woman died and a teen was seriously injured after a crash in Crow Wing County on Saturday night.

Brenda Elaine Magnuson, 49, died from her injuries after the Jeep Cherokee she was riding in collided with a Ford Explorer at the intersection of state Highway 6 and County Road 11, the Minnesota State Patrol said. Another passenger in the Jeep, Samuel Peter Jorgenson, 15, was seriously injured, and a 12-year-old girl reported what authorities called non-life-threatening injuries. The drivers of both vehicles and two additional passengers in the Jeep were uninjured.

The crash occurred just before 10:30 p.m. when the driver of the Jeep failed to yield at a stop sign, the State Patrol said.
