Blair, NE : Motorcycle crash injures one on Monday, June 26, 2017
A Blair man was taken by medical helicopter to an Omaha hospital early Sunday morning following a motorcycle crash west of Herman.
Washington County sheriff's deputies and Herman Rescue responded to the crash at about 1:53 a.m. on County Road 4.Scott Barger, 46, was traveling westbound on a 2006 Harley Davidson when he lost control as he entered a curve and left the roadway. He was ejected from the bike and landed at the bottom of a steep ditch, according to Capt. Shawn Thallas. Barger was wearing a helmet.
Barger was flown to CHI Health Creighton University Medical Center Bergan Mercy. The extent of his injuries are unknown.
Alcohol is suspected as a factor in the crash. The responding deputy detected an odor of alcohol on Barger's breath, Thallas said. Charges are pending.
