Mount Airy, MD : Mount Airy crash sends car into ditch on Monday night, July 28, 2014

A two-vehicle collision in Mount Airy Monday night left two drivers with minor injuries, according to a spokeswoman from the Maryland State Police Westminster barrack.

The crash occurred at approximately 6:20 p.m. on Md. 27 at the intersection of Leishear Road and North Main Street, according to police. One vehicle went into the drainage ditch next to the road as a result.

Md. 27 was closed briefly while tow trucks were called to remove both vehicles, according to police. The road was reopened shortly after 7 p.m.
