WINNSBORO, SC : Coroner identifies man killed in hit-and-run in Winnsboro on Monday, 4th March 2024

Chris Hill, the Fairfield County Coroner, announced Monday the identity of a man who was killed in a hit-and-run in Winnsboro on Friday.
Hill said Brian Kennedy, Sr., 56, was killed after being struck by an unknown vehicle. Kennedy was found in an alley off of South Zion Street.
An autopsy is scheduled to determine the extent of Kennedy’s injuries and the cause of death, Hill added.
The case is being investigated by the Fairfield County Coroner’s Office, the Winnsboro Department of Public Safety and South Carolina Highway Patrol. Anyone with information on the case is urged to contact these agencies.
