Pittsburgh, PA : 1 dead, 3 others injured in 5-vehicle crash on state Route 51 near Interstate 376 on Sunday, August 14, 2016

Authorities say a five-car crash has left one woman dead and three other people injured in Pittsburgh.

Police spokeswoman Sonya Toler says the crash happened just before 6 p.m. Sunday on state Route 51 near Interstate 376.

She says a woman in the vehicle that authorities believe started the wreck later died. The man behind the wheel of that vehicle is in critical condition after police say his arm was severed.

Toler says a man and a teen have also been hospitalized with minor injuries.

Authorities didn’t immediately identify the victims.

The crash remains under investigation.
