SAGINAW COUNTY, MI : All lanes of I-75 are back open in Saginaw County after crash on Tuesday, 10th September 2024

All traffic on I-75 was at a standstill between Bridgeport and Birch Run after a crash Tuesday.

The Michigan Department of Transportation says all northbound traffic was forced to get off the freeway at Exit 136 in Birch Run while southbound traffic was forced to get off at Exit 144 in Bridgeport.

One lane opened in each direction around 12:30 p.m., but significant traffic backups remained in the area. All lanes reopened and traffic flow returned to normal by 2 p.m.

The crash happened near the Curtis Road overpass shortly before noon. Authorities could not immediately say how the crash happened or whether anyone was injured.
