ORANGE COUNTY, FL : Car split in half in fatal Orange County crash on Saturday, September 23rd 2017

One man was killed, while two others were injured in a crash that split a car in half in Orange County.

Florida Highway Patrol said a car was traveling south on Apopka Vineland Road near Balboa Drive when the driver, 26-year-old Ryan Sankar of Ocoee lost control for an unknown reason.

The car was split in half after it left the roadway and struck a pole, troopers said.

One passanger, Ronald Sankar, 28, was thrown from the the vehicle and died at the scene.

Authorities said the other passengar, Ricky Sankar, 20, was critically injured in the crash. The driver had minor injuries. Troopers said the man was not drinking.

Troopers are still investigating the crash.
