WOODSTOCK, NH : Tractor-trailer crash shuts down Route 118 on Tuesday, 6th September 2016

A tractor-trailer driver is recovering after a crash that shut down a Woodstock highway Tuesday for several hours.Fire officials said the accident happened around 2:30 p.m. on Route 118.

The rubbish removal truck went off the highway, down an embankment and flipped on its side.

The driver was conscious and alert when emergency crews arrived at the scene, officials said. He was taken to the hospital with a leg injury.

The road was shut down for more than eight hours as crews worked to clear the scene.
