Mashpee, MA : One person dead and another injured after a car crash on Cape Cod on Monday, February 15, 2016

One person is dead and another has been hospitalized after an overnight car crash on Cape Cod.
The Cape Cod Times reports that fire officials responded to a Mashpee intersection just after midnight Monday where they found a vehicle on its side against a utility pole.
The driver and a passenger were trapped inside with life-threatening injuries.
The driver was taken to Falmouth Hospital, where she later died.
Officials told NECN that the deceased was a 47-year-old woman.
The passenger was airlifted to Rhode Island Hospital. There's no word on the passenger's current condition.
Police haven't released the victims' identities.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
