Richmond,VI: Wrong-way crash on I-95 in Stafford leaves one dead on October, Thursday 12th 2017

The driver of a van headed the wrong way on Interstate 95 died in an early morning crash, according to the Virginia State Police.

Troopers responded to the crash at 2:30 a.m. on southbound I-95, just north of Centreport Parkway in Stafford County.

Police said a Dodge van exited from Centreport Parkway and headed north in the southbound lanes of the interstate and crashed head-on into a Peterbuilt tractor-trailer in the center lane.

Both drivers were taken to Mary Washington Hospital.
