Windham, CT : Two die in separate, one-car crashes in eastern Connecticut on Tuesday, 10th March, 2020
Two people died in one-car crashes about five hours apart in eastern Connecticut Tuesday night, state police said. The crashes were unrelated.
The first happened on I-395 south in Norwich shortly before 6:10 p.m., police said. A 2014 Chevrolet Impala driven by Joshua Prince, 23, of the Uncasville section of Montville veered to the left and went off the highway.
The car went into the grassy median, struck a metal reflector post and came back onto the highway. Prince apparently overcorrected, and the car went back into the median, striking a guard rail, state police said.
The car then traveled on the guard rail, rolled, struck a bridge abutment and spun counterclockwise, coming to a rest between abutment pillars, police said.
