Alken County ,SC : One person dead and other person minorly injued after accident along I - 20 near Exit5 on Saturday night ,March 21st 2015

One person is dead after an accident on I-20 eastbound near exit 5, according South Carolina Highway Patrol.

The Aiken County Coroner says Carl Furillo Polite, Jr. was pronounced dead at the scene.

The South Carolina Department of Public Safety says the crash involved a 2012 Ford Fusion and 2008 Lexus at around 11:40 p.m. on Friday.

Polite hit the Fusion in the rear causing the car to hit the guardrail, according to the highway patrol.

The driver and the passenger of the Fusion have minor injuries and were treated at a local hospital

Investigators said the Polite overturned, and the driver was a ejected into the roadway then an unknown vehicle hit Polite and did not stop.

No charges are being filed in the original crash, authorities said.

South Carolina Highway Patrol is investigating the crash.
