Las Vegas ,NV : 58 - years old father was taken to hospital and driver of car was minorly injured after motorcycle hit car at Flamingo Road on Monday , January 19th 2015

Flamingo Road was closed to traffic in both directions just east of Maryland Parkway for several hours Monday as police investigated a crash involving two motorcycles and car.

The crash happened around 1:15 p.m. at Flamingo and Escondido Street. According to police, the father and son motorcyclists were heading westbound on Flamingo when a car, heading eastbound, turned left in front of them. The father was ejected from his motorcycle when he hit the car. The son laid his bike down to assist his dad.

Witness Celene Munoz works at Max's on the same block and saw the aftermath. She says, before police and paramedics arrived, witnesses rushed to help.

“I've never seen anything this bad and I'll never forget it,” Munoz said. “It's amazing. People ran from everywhere. A lot of people with big hearts put it that way."

The father, identified as 58-year-old Alvin Willingham by police, was transported to Sunrise Medical Center with life-threatening injuries. The son did not suffer any injuries.

Police say the 85-year-old driver of the red Oldsmobile received minor injuries and waited nearby during the investigation.
