IZARD COUNTY, AR : Man killed in logging accident on Friday, December 16th 2016

A Region 8 man died Friday, Dec. 16, in a logging accident.

Cody Wayne Stewart, 29, of Mt. Pleasant was working with DJ Logging Company in an area off West Road near Highway 58 in Melbourne when the incident occurred.

Izard County Sheriff Tate Lawrence said Stewart suffered injuries to his head and upper chest when a log being moved by a skidder hit him.
