OAKLEY, CA : Oakley police investigate separate injury collisions in the 2900 block of Neroly Road on Friday, 3rd January, 2020

A pair of traffic collisions that injured multiple people were under investigation, authorities said Friday.

Around 5:55 p.m., officers were responding to a report of a theft at AutoZone, 2595 Main St., when they learned of a collision in the 2900 block of Neroly Road at Oakley Road, Oakley police Sgt. Kevin Morris said.

Officers responded to the scene and learned that suspects who fled the store were driving at high speed on Neroly when they struck another vehicle.

Two men and a woman fled the vehicle, with one man taken to an area hospital for medical care and another later detained. The woman was not immediately located afterward, Morris said.

Shortly after 7:50 p.m., officers responded to a second collision at Laurel Road and O’Hara Avenue and arrived to find a collision involving a dark-colored sedan, a white sedan and a dark-colored SUV, with one vehicle completely off a roadway, Morris said.
