DECATUR, AL : 16-year-old killed in wreck in Decatur on Saturday, 17th August 2024

A 16-year-old died following a wreck in Decatur on Saturday evening.

According to the Decatur Police Department, a two-vehicle wreck happened around 11:47 p.m. at the intersection of 8th St. SE and 9th Ave. SE.

Police said the drivers of both vehicles and four passengers were transported to Decatur-Morgan Hospital.

The 16-year-old female was a passenger in one of the vehicles. She later died from her injuries at the hospital.
