A 14-year-old girl was reportedly killed early Sunday morning when the car she was riding in crashed into a Lincolnton church at a high rate of speed.

Witnesses say the four-door sedan was speeding back and forth on the road before the driver lost control and the vehicle left the road and flipped, crashing into a brick wall at the church. “He did like a fishtail and he couldn't gain control of his wheel,” Brandy Polson said. Polson lives just across the street from where the accident happened and says there were three people in the car.

Garcia was an 8th grader at Asbury Middle School and friends say she went by the nickname "Betty".
