Las Vegas, NV : Two women injured, one critically, in motorcycle-SUV crash in the central valley on Wednesday afternoon, May 18, 2016
Two women were hospitalized after a crash involving a motorcycle and a sport utility vehicle in the central valley Wednesday afternoon.
The crash occurred about 12:45 p.m. near the intersection of West Sahara Avenue and South Valley View Boulevard, Metro spokeswoman Laura Meltzer said.
A 2015 Honda motorcycle was heading eastbound on Sahara Avenue while a 2005 Chevrolet Suburban was turning left “into a private drive” from Sahara Avenue, police said. The motorcycle struck the right side of the turning SUV.
The motorcyclist, identified as 22-year-old Jazmyn Ennis, was taken to University Medical Center with critical injuries. The driver of the SUV, identified as 25-year-old Guadalupe Martinez, was taken to Valley Hospital Medical Center with minor injuries and was later released, according to Metro.
