NASHVILLE, TN : Police investigating 5-car crash involving semi-truck in South Nashville on Thursday, 20th October 2016
Emergency responders were called to a five-car crash involving a semi-truck in south Nashville Thursday night.
Police said around 9 p.m. a car was traveling northeast on Antioch Pike, when it ran a red light and crashed into a tractor trailer.
Three other cars were hit after the initial crash.
The car that caused the initial crash is believed to be the suspect car in a hit and run accident that happened just a few minutes before.
Two people from the suspect car were transported to Vanderbilt Hospital with serious, but non-life threatening injuries.
Two people from the other cars hit in the crash also went to Vanderbilt with minor injuries.
Officials were still investigating the crash. They are looking into whether alcohol may have been involved.
