Students at Wando High School are in mourning after a fellow student was killed in a motorcycle accident on Tuesday.
It happened just before 8:30 a.m. on Highway 17 North at Carolina Park Boulveard in the Carolina Park neighborhood.
Mount Pleasant police say the motorcyclist swerved to avoid stopped traffic, sideswiped a car, and was thrown from the bike.
The principal of Wando recorded a message that was sent out to parents Tuesday afternoon asking for thoughts and prayer's for the student's family.
