A 15-year-old from Jordan died Monday in a rollover crash in Garfield County.
The Garfield County Sheriff's Office identified her as Kortni South, the driver of a Chevrolet Silverado in a wreck that occurred at about 1 a.m.
A 14-year-old girl and a 17-year-old boy, both from Jordan, were also in the pickup and were injured in the crash, according to sheriff's department.
The pickup was southbound on Hell Creek Road when it crossed the center of the road and entered the ditch on the northbound side, according to the Montana Highway Patrol. The driver overcorrected, crossed both lanes of traffic and drove into the opposing ditch.
The pickup rolled at least one time before coming to rest on its driver's side. The girl driving was not wearing a seat belt and was partially ejected. She was pronounced dead on scene.
It is unknown if the passengers were wearing seat belts or how severe their injuries were.
The crash remains under investigation by Montana Highway Patrol. Alcohol is not a suspected factor but speeds may have played a role in the wreck.
