Geneseo, N.Y : Student from Long Island hit by car in upstate college town on Monday, January 30, 2017
Authorities say a 22-year-old woman from Long Island is hospitalized after being hit by a car while crossing a street in the upstate New York town where she attends college.
Police in Geneseo in Livingston County say the woman from Great Neck in Nassau County was crossing Main Street around 8:30 p.m. Monday when she was hit by a car driven by an 18-year-old woman from Buffalo.
Officers say it appears the 22-year-old walked into the street between two parked cars. She’s listed in guarded condition Tuesday at Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester.
Police say she and the driver are both students at the State University College at Geneseo.
No charges have been filed. The investigation into the accident continues.
