NORTH ATTLEBOROUGH, MA : 2 injured in wrong-way crash on I-95 in North Attleborough on Thursday, 21st August 2024

Two people are in the hospital following a wrong-way crash on I-95 North.

According to police, officers were dispatched around 3 a.m.

State Police located the vehicle involved in the wrong-way crash, which allegedly nearly also struck two responding troopers.

The vehicle continued traveling south on the northbound lanes when it struck another vehicle and traveled into the woods.

The individuals in both cars sustained serious injuries as a result of the crash, and were transported to Rhode Island Hospital.

Police said the wrong-way driver is suspected of operating under the influence, and will be summoned to court.

The crash remains under investigation.
