Melbourne, FL : Woman crashes SUV into Melbourne veterinary clinic on Thursday, June 18, 2015

A receptionist at a Brevard County veterinary clinic was pinned behind her desk Thursday after a woman crashed her SUV into the building.

The driver, a woman in her 40s, was not seriously injured in the crash and was cited for careless driving.

The woman drove the SUV across a field and then into the Eau Gallie Veterinarian Clinic, which is located on North Wickham Road, around 1 p.m.

The driver suffered a medical episode while driving the vehicle, according to Melbourne police.

The receptionist was taken to Holmes Regional Medical Center.

Witnesses said the woman's SUV careened across an empty field for about 150 yards before it went crashing into the building.

No one else was injured in the crash, and all the of animals were said to be OK.
