Lagrange, MO : Two drivers injured after a two-car crash in eastern Lewis County on Saturday, April 30, 2016
An animal in the road contributed to a two-car crash Saturday in eastern Lewis County.
Derrick J. Guilfoyle, 41, was driving south on Route B at U.S. 61 south of LaGrange when he stopped for an animal in the road.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Dawn Erby-Bridges, 34, was driving north and drove off the right side of the road, overcorrected and returned to the road, striking Guilfoyle's vehicle before coming to rest in a ditch.
Both drivers were wearing safety devices. Erby-Bridges suffered moderate injuries and was taken to Blessing Hospital by Lewis County EMS.
Guilfoyle's 2005 Ford 500 had minor damage and was driven from the scene. Erby-Bridges' 2015 Chrysler Town and Country had extensive damage and was towed.
