Ganite Falls , MN : Husband and wife from Butterfield weredied in a single-vehicle accident in Yellow Medicine County on Friday morning, February 6th 2015

The State Patrol says a husband and wife from Butterfield have died in a single-vehicle accident in Yellow Medicine County in southwestern Minnesota.

The patrol says 73-year-old Lowell Asplund was driving north on Highway 67 when his SUV left the highway, went through a fence and hit a tree around 10 a.m. Friday.

Asplund and his wife, 74 year-old Sharon Asplund, both died in the crash.
