2 wrecks slow traffic in Greenville County Near South Carolina

A pair of wrecks threw a monkey wrench into the Thursday commute, backing up traffic for miles on Interstate 85 northbound. The first wreck happened just before 6:30 a.m. north of Pelham Road at the 55 mile marker, according to the South Carolina Highway Patrol website, There were injuries reported.

Then another accident happened in the backup of the first accident at the 54 mile marker at about 6:40 a.m., the website said.From Sky 4, a car's front end would be seen stuck under an 18-wheeler's front end. There were no injuries in this accident.

The wrecks backed in the northbound lanes for at least six miles to Laurens Road.The wrecked vehicles were moved to the shoulder about 7 a.m., but traffic was still moving slowly.
