Livermore, CA : Dublin woman killed, one injured in head-on crash near Las Positas Road on Monday morning, August 22, 2016

One driver was killed and another injured Monday morning in a head-on vehicle collision, police said.

The Alameda County coroner's office identified the driver killed as Lee Ann Tagliapietra, 72, of Dublin.

No information was released about the other driver.

The collision happened about 6 a.m. on First Street near Las Positas Road.

A Chevrolet Camaro headed northbound on First Street crossed over the raised center median and struck a Honda driven by Tagliapietra that was going southbound on First, just south of Las Positas.

Tagliapietra died later from her injuries at a hospital. The driver of the Camaro was also hospitalized, but their condition was not released.

Investigators believe a third vehicle that would have been going southbound on First Street at the time of the collision may also have been involved because of some damaged parts left at the scene. Police would like that driver to contact them.

First Street was closed in both directions for several hours while police investigated.
