Joplin, MO : Granby woman hurt in accident in Newton County on Tuesday, March 7, 2017

A Granby resident was hurt in a single-vehicle accident at 8:35 p.m. Tuesday on Missouri Highway 86, three miles east of Neosho in Newton County, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

The patrol said a westbound vehicle driven by Francine Newman, 46, ran off the road, struck a concrete driveway and overturned. The vehicle then caught on fire, the patrol said.

Newman suffered minor injuries and was transported to Mercy Hospital in Joplin, the patrol said.
