Search on for suspect after car chase and crash in Greenville, South Carolina

South Carolina Highway Patrol troopers are searching for a man they say dodged a traffic stop, led officers on a chase and crashed his car Wednesday night.According to SCHP, troopers, the chase started on Highway 253.Troopers said they attempted to stop a 2012 Volkswagen Jetta for an unspecified traffic violation.The driver sped off, but crashed his car on Pinebrook Circle near McDowell Street in Greenville, according to troopers.

The man then ran off, said troopers.Greenville County sheriff's officers were called in to help SCHP by setting up a perimeter, troopers said.
