A 32-year-old Medford man was killed when his motorcycle collided with a pickup Wednesday evening, according to police.
Ronald O. Anderson was riding a motorcycle east on State 64 when a pickup driven by a 51-year-old Medford man, traveling west on State 64, attempted to make a left turn onto Crane Drive in Medford, about 35 miles north of Marshfield, at 6:50 p.m. Wednesday, according to the Taylor County Sheriff's Office. The sun was in the pickup driver's eyes and he did not see the motorcycle and the two vehicles hit, according to police.
Emergency personnel responded to the scene and attempted to save Anderson, but he did not survive. The Taylor County medical examiner pronounced the Anderson dead at the scene.
The Sheriff's Department is continuing to investigate the crash.
