Laurel, DE : One person died in Fatal crash involved motorcycle, car and deer near Laurel road on Sunday, Aug 9, 2015
The Delaware State Police is investigating after a fatal crash in Laurel involving a motorcycle, car and a deer.
Troopers say the crash happened around 8:45 p.m. Sunday on Laurel Road just west of Christ Church Road when a small female deer ran into the roadway and into a motorcyclist's path. Troopers say the motorcyclist struck the deer and was thrown from the vehicle. Troopers say the driver of a Ford Mustang failed to see the motorcyclist lying in the roadway and ran over him.
Troopers say the motorcyclist was taken to a hospital where he died. State Police identified the motorcyclist as 45-year-old Brian Davis of Laurel.
Troopers say the driver of the Mustang and her two passengers were uninjured. The deer died as a result of the crash.
