POCATELLO, ID : A four-vehicle wreck on May, Wednesday, 24th 2017

Two people were transported to Portneuf Medical Center after a four-vehicle wreck at one of Pocatello’s busiest intersections.

The crash occurred at Pocatello Creek Road and Jefferson Avenue at approximately 12:30 p.m.

According to Pocatello police, the crash occurred after the driver of a Ford F-350 struck a Chevy S-10 pickup. The momentum of the collision then pushed the Chevy into two other vehicles.

Two people who have not been identified were injured in the crash, but the extent of their injuries is not known.

Police reports indicated that the wreck might have been caused by one of the drivers suffering a medical emergency.

The crash caused multiple lane closures as authorities responded to the scene. However, the lanes were reopened after approximately 20 minutes.

The Pocatello Police Department, the Pocatello Fire Department, Bannock County Ambulance and Bannock County Search and Rescue responded to the incident.
