Erie, CO : Baseline Road in Erie reopened following crash on Thursday, 18th July 2019
Baseline Road has been reopened in Erie following a crash earlier this morning, according to the Colorado Department of Transportation.
Baseline Road, also Colo. 7 in that location, was closed between Airport and Bonanza drives, but CDOT issued a release at 8 a.m. stating the road had been reopened.
The Broomfield Police Department, which is investigating the incident, issued a release stating a man was driving westbound on Baseline Road at about 5:30 a.m. when he crossed over the double yellow line and struck an oncoming trash truck.
The driver of the vehicle that reportedly crossed the center line, a 64-year-old male from Denver, was transported to a local hospital to be treated for his injuries, which were not life-threatening. He was also issued a citation.
