A 1-year-old boy and a 31-year-old woman were killed in a head-on collision Friday in Comanche County that left two others in critical condition, according to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol.
Cheyenne Castillo, 20, of Arlington, Texas, was northbound in a 2000 Honda SUV on U.S. 277 one mile south of Geromino about 4:40 p.m. Friday when she collided with a southbound 2013 Dodge four-door driven by Rocky Lee Benefiel, 43, of Walters, OHP troopers reported.
A 1-year-old boy who was a passenger in Castillo's vehicle was pronounced dead at Comanche County Memorial Hospital with massive internal injuries, troopers said.
Castillo was taken to Comanche County Memorial Hospital, then transferred to United Regional in Wichita Falls, Texas, in critical condition with head, trunk internal and leg injuries, according to troopers.
A second passenger, a 15-year-old boy from Arlington, was taken to Comanche County Memorial Hospital? in critical condition with head, trunk internal and leg injuries.
A passenger in the Dodge, Savannah Benefiel, 31, of Walters, was taken by helicopter to Comanche County Memorial Hospital, where she was pronounced dead on arrival with massive internal injuries, according to troopers.
