Two people were injured in a head-on collision in Hempfield Township Wednesday morning, according to Westmoreland County 911.
A portion of State Route 66 was closed because of the crash as of 6 a.m. Wednesday, with traffic being detoured onto the adjoining Old Route 66.
The crash was reported at 5:43 a.m. The North Hempfield Volunteer Fire Department and several ambulance companies responded.
The extent of the injuries is unknown.
