Baton Rouge, LA : Authorities identify man killed after crashing vehicle into Central home on April, saturday 15th 2017
One person died early Saturday after crashing a car into a house in Central, Central Fire Department spokesman Derek Glover said.
The crash, which happened around 2:30 a.m., caused major damage to the house in the 10,000 block of Blackwater Road, Glover said. No one in the home was injured.
Investigators are still working to identify the driver as of 5:30 p.m. Saturday, Louisiana State Police spokesman Tfc. Bryan Lee said.
Impairment is suspected to be a factor in the crash, but other details have not been released. The driver was not wearing a seat belt and died on the scene, Lee said.
Red Cross reached out to help the displaced residents of the home.
