Two people died in a rollover crash in Clay County Saturday afternoon.

According to a press release from the Clay County Sheriff’s Office, Clay County 911 received a call about a one vehicle rollover on Clay County Road 534 just before 2:30 p.m.

Callers told dispatch that the vehicle was fully engulfed and that they believed that someone was still inside the vehicle.

Clay County sheriff’s deputies, Arkansas State Police, Piggott Ambulance, and Piggott Fire Department responded to the call.

The Piggott Fire Department was able to put out the fire, but both occupants were dead when first responders arrived.

The names of the victims have not been released pending the results from the Arkansas State Crime Lab.

The crash is being investigated by Arkansas State Police.
