Tallahassee, FL : I-95 lanes reopened after Boca police officer injured in crash on Monday, January 23rd 2017
Boca Raton police say one of their officer’s was assisting Florida Highway Patrol officers with a crash when a vehicle hit the officer’s patrol car.
The officer is being assessed now, but the injuries do not appear to be serious, police say.A vehicle crash south of Boca Raton has closed northbound traffic lanes on Interstate 95 Monday evening, according to authorities.
Florida Highway Patrol say a law enforcement officer is involved in the crash, but did not say how many vehicles are in the collision. Which law enforcement agency the officer belongs to is unknown at this time.
The Florida Department of Transportation says three right lanes are blocked. It’s unclear if there are any injuries.
Boca Raton police advise drivers to find an alternate route because of a “major crash.”
